Senior Logistics Analyst

Department: DoS - ManTech - SDO2
Location: Chantilly, VA

Location: Chantilly, VA
Security Clearance: Secret Clearance or above
Job Type: Full-Time

Target Salary Range*: $70,000 - $85,000

*This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary


Position Overview

The Senior Logistics Analyst interfaces with government and contract personnel while demonstrating sound judgment, professional work performance, and adherence to professional standards, operational guidelines, and security guidelines as defined by the government customer.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement and Vendor Management

  • Support end-to-end procurement, vendor relations, and logistics operations in strict compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, Foreign Affairs Manual standards, and governing corporate policies.
  • Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors.
  • Issue Requests for Quotes and secure competitive, single-source, or sole-source pricing for complex Bills of Materials.
  • Evaluate bids and negotiate optimal pricing, delivery schedules, quality standards, and terms with suppliers.

Purchase Order Tracking and Issue Resolution

  • Track purchase orders from initial request through final delivery.
  • Proactively resolve delays.
  • Log vendor or order issues.
  • Settle disputes concerning damage claims, rejections, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.

Documentation, Budget, and Data Management

  • Draft thorough acquisition documentation to ensure full regulatory and audit compliance.
  • Track project spending and cost allocations against approved budgets.
  • Manage procurement data across SharePoint and core enterprise tools.

Coordination, Inventory, and Logistics Support

  • Interface regularly with internal cross-functional teams, external suppliers, and government or customer representatives.
  • Provide warehouse and inventory control support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent. [Required]

Experience

  • 4+ years of procurement and logistics experience. [Required]
  • Experience in customer service.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Strong Excel skills for data, cost tracking, and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to travel at least 25%. [Required]

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside an office environment to access file cabinets, office machinery, and similar items.
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine and computer printer.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange effective and accurate information in these situations.
  • May be required to remain in a vertical stationary position for up to 50% of the time to deliver presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience preparing government acquisition documentation.
