Program Security Representative I

Department: GDIT - Justified

Job Type: Full-Time

Target Salary Range*: $122,000-$132,000

*This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary


Position Overview

The Program Security Representative provides multi-discipline security support for one or more customer Special Access Programs (SAPs), including day-to-day security analysis and support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.


Key Responsibilities

Security Compliance and Policy

  • Ensure strict adherence to the NISPOM, its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
  • Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding SAP, SCI, and collateral data in support of U.S. military operations.
  • Continuously assess procedures to identify shortfalls and recommend improvements to security policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff.

Security Operations and Risk Management

  • Provide day-to-day security support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to test, training, and operational activities.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and training the Operations Security program.
  • Assist in providing contractor and subordinate facility assistance and oversight.

Security Briefings and Training

  • Brief government personnel and senior civilian service personnel at all levels on a variety of security-related topics.
  • Coordinate with SAP security personnel to incorporate lessons learned into the curriculum for the SAP security education and awareness program.

Facility Compliance and Corrective Actions

  • Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, follow-on facility reviews, and facility close-outs.
  • Monitor, report, and track corrective actions resulting from compliance reviews.

Security Incident Investigations

  • Conduct explorations of any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information.
  • Conduct preliminary inquiries and generate damage assessments resulting from the loss of classified information.

Qualifications

Clearance

  • TS/SCI clearance [Required].
  • Must be willing to obtain a CI Poly [Required].

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree [Required].
  • Four years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for the degree [Required].

Experience

  • 5–7 years of related experience [Required].
  • SAP experience [Required].
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts toward 3 years of experience [Required].
